Same Streets

Who makes it

Hi, I’m Clara

A coloured-pencil drawing of Clara on a rainy London street of brick terraces, an open red book in her hand, looking up from it at the houses.
Illustration made with AI

I’m Clara Ribera, and I make Same Streets from Spain, out of the two things I love most: reading and travelling.

I’ve read the classics these walks come from, and I’ve been to the cities where they happen: London, New York.

Standing in a street you first met on a page is a strange and lovely feeling. The book comes alive, and the city means more.

Same Streets is my way of sharing that. Each walk takes the places a book names and puts them on a map you can follow on your phone: what happened there, how it looked then, and what you’ll find today.

How I make them

  • I research every place: what stood there then, and what you’ll find today.
  • I write each walk with the help of AI, and check every quotation against the book.
  • Every picture says where it comes from; where a place is invented, or its spot is a guess, the walk says so.

It’s a small project, made with a lot of love. If you find a mistake, or there’s a book you’d love to walk, write to me at [email protected].
